This course will give you an overview of the bearing industry as well as basic bearing types and applications. Knowledge of the key players, bearing types and terminology will ensure that everyone has a basic knowledge of the industry upon arrival.
This course is specially designed for engineers and others with technical backgrounds that have limited exposure to bearings and need to adapt their technical training to bearings or seek an upgrade to their technical knowledge. The Essentials Course focuses on understanding basic tribology, bearing types and applications and explores the basic concepts around manufacturing methods, loads, lubrication and failure.

All attendees will be required to take the online pre-requisite titled The Evolution of Bearing Technology.
A link to the pre-requisite will be at the bottom of the confirmation e-mail you receive after registering. You must be logged into ABMA's website and click on the link to access the education portal.
Attendees receive CEUs upon successful completion of this course.
The Essentials course will begin promptly at 8:00 am on Tuesday, August 22nd and will end around 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 24th. Please be sure to book your travel and transportation accordingly.

Substitutions for registrants unable to attend
will be accepted any time prior to the beginning of the course. We do ask
however, that any course-related materials already received by the registrant
be forwarded to the substitute attendee. Substitutions must be submitted in
writing to ABMA. Cancellations received 60 days prior to course start date will
receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 30 days and 60 days from
the start of the course will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for cancellations
within 30 days of the course start date. Again substitutions are welcome and
