ABMA Announces 2013 Recipients of Tedric. A Harris Bearing Industry Internship

ABMA is pleased to announce the 2013 recipients of the Tedric A. Harris Bearing Industry Internship to two young engineers. Each recipient will receive $1,000 scholarship grant from ABMA and spend the summer interning at an ABMA member company.

Brian Harrell

Brian Harrell is currently in his third year at Penn State University where he is majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship. The education committee felt that his unique background with aerospace engineering showed promise and dedication within the engineering field. Brian will be working at SKF USA Inc. facility in Hanover, PA.



Michael Spinelli

Michael is currently in his second year at Carnegie Mellon University where is he majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics. The education committee felt that Michael’s application stood out among the fellow applicants because of his outstanding achievements in the engineering realm as well as his outside achievements at the university. Michael’s internship will take place at Schaeffler Group USA’s Danbury, CT facility.


Brian and Michael are very excited about this opportunity and look forward to gaining key insights about the bearing industry.
