On Thursday, October 3, Sentient Science hosted an event for all ABMA members that focused on how computational testing can significantly improve bearing life and performance. The event took place at their facility in Buffalo, NY and there were approximately 30 people in attendance. Based on initial feedback, the attendees found the presentations very informative and applicable to their current role with bearings.

Ward Thomas, President of Sentient, kicked off the day by providing a high-level overview of the company and the services they provide. Sentient has developed new technology that evolves past methods of the physical testing paradigm to 'smart testing' - an optimal blend of computational and physical testing. This new paradigm offers manufacturers a way to test more rigorously in half the time and at a fraction of the cost, leading to a higher confidence in product performance.

Following Ward's presentation, attendees heard from multiple key members of the bearing supply chain that currently utilize the technology and shared the benefits and value of their investment.

One of the major benefits of being a supplier member of ABMA is having access to the primary manufacturers through these events and Sentient definitely capitalized on this opportunity.

"The value of this service is very clear and we can introduce innovation faster using computational testing" - Attendee

"We have already referred a few of our customers to Sentient" - Attendee

ABMA would like to extend a special thank you to Sentient Science for hosting such a successful event and to all of the presenters for their time and insights.

Videos of the presentations will be available on ABMA's website in the coming days.
